TRAFFORD FC's UNDER-21 team last season has, for the new campaign, become the Club's Reserve Team - we are very proud to announce.
The team will be playing in the Lancashire & Cheshire League on Saturday afternoons, and have begun their training and preparations under the leadership of manager Paul Barrow and his assistant Dave Morris.
Paul explains: "These young players have progressed through the Trafford FC Youth system, and have represented the club at Youth and Under-21 levels. Now is time for the next stage in their development as players and as human beings - to play regular football in an open-age league. It is in the Trafford FC Youth, and Trafford Football Club ethos, to help our young people to develop at the right pace - to take the right steps at the right time. Moving to Reserves level is the next stage in that process, and we cannot wait to get started!"
That start occurs on Saturday 27th July when the team will play on the beautiful surface of AwayDayCare Shawe View, kick off 3pm, versus Newton Vikings in a pre-season friendly. Admission is free, the bar will be open, and we'd love to see some of you down at Shawe View to witness the first game of our new Reserves Team!
