INJURY TIME EQUALISER......

Lewis Salmon came off the bench to snatch a brilliant last minute equaliser for Trafford in a hugely entertaining game at the Home Estates Shawe View Stadium. The visitors shaded the opening minutes with Leon Scott firing straight at Matty Cooper in the 8th minute and speedy left winger Curtis Round cracking a low drive inches past the far post.
In the 23rd minute Trafford striker Jordan Johnson struck a superb free kick from 20 yards that was brilliantly pushed past the post by Jack Norton whilst at the other end home skipper Sam Egerton blocked bravely to deny Matthew Waters.
Just before half-time Jordan Johnson had another good chance to put the hosts ahead but Norton left his line to save from point blank range.
The experienced and well-organised Marske side dominated the opening exchanges in the second half with Matthew Waters curling a great drive against the crossbar before Andrew Stephenson fired them ahead in the 67th minute, crashing home from eight yards after Matty Cooper parried a shot from the left.
Marske appeared to be heading for victory with some cool, possession football when midfielder Leon Scott was sent off for foolishly kicking out at Ross Davidson with just five minutes remaining.
And Trafford capitalised brilliantly when, in the first minute of injury time left back Joel Amado broke down his flank and crossed hard and low to the near post where Lewis Salmon arrived to flick the ball into the roof of the net with the outside of his foot.
Despite appeals for a penalty in the dying seconds by the North Easterners, the final whistle signalled the end of an enthralling encounter that stretched Trafford’s unbeaten run to four games.
On Saturday, Trafford host a mouth-watering FA Cup Second Round Qualifying Tie against National League North outfit, and ex-Football League side, Darlington. Kick off is at 3 p.m. but spectators are advised to arrive early as a large crowd is expected.
